The Spotnicks at the ’Concert Hall’ in Jönköping, Sweden, March 15, 2003

THE SPOTNICKS, THE VIOLENTS and JOHNNY & THE HURRICANES ÅRETS NOSTALGIGALA – för första gången på samma scen. The Spotnicks var Sveriges första musikexport till England, Japan o Frankrike i början av 60-talet. Guppen låg på topplistan med låtar som Amapola, Last Date och Karelia. The Violents var Jerry Williams gamla kompgrupp och de slog i genom med Alpens Ros och Kors på Idas grav. Johnny & the Hurricanes är kända bl a för Red River Rock.

THE SPOTNICKS, THE VIOLENTS AND JOHNNY & THE HURRICANES YEAR’S NOSTALGIGALA – for the first time on the same scene. The Spotnicks was Sweden’s first music export to England, Japan and France in the early 60’s. The guitar was on the leaderboard with songs like Amapola, Last Date and Karelia. The Violents were Jerry Williams’s old companions. Johnny & the Hurricanes are most famous for the Red River Rock

The Spotnicks meets Valentina Tereshkova in Stockholm, April 22, 1966

Den 22 april träffas The Spotnicks och den första kvinnliga kosmonauten Valentina Tereshkova när hon medverkar vid en Rymd-Expo på Tekniska Museet och där The Spotnicks uppträdde. Till hennes ära spelade de ”Vostok 6” (Sentimental Guitar). Redan 1963 hedrades Valentina genom att låten ”Save The Last Dance For Me” fick hennes förnamn som låttitel på LP’n ”In Spain”.

On April 22, The Spotnicks and the first female cosmonaut Valentina Tereshkova meets when she participates at a Space Expo at the Technical Museum in Stockholm, where The Spotnicks performed. To her honor they played ”Vostok 6” (Sentimental Guitar). Already in 1963, Valentina was honored by the song ’Save The Last Dance For Me’ was given her first name as the song title of the LP ”In Spain”.

The Spotnicks at ’Jössefors Folkets Park’ in Arvika, Sweden, May 21, 1999

Spelningen i Jössefors Folkets Park den 21 maj spelades in av Sveriges Radio och konserten sändes senare i ett program som heter P4-scenen. Konserten gavs också ut på en CD ”The Spotnicks Live 1999” och en VHS-video som kunde köpas från fanklubben.

The Concert at ’Jössefors Fokets Park’ on 21 May was recorded by Swedish Radio and became broadcasted later in a program called ’The P4 Scene’. The concert was also released on a CD ”The Spotnicks Live 1999” and a VHS-video which could be purchased from the fan club.
